A few days ago, Bandai Namco announced a new addition to the Tales of series that would be coming to mobile devices, Tales of Crestoria. In this week's Famitsu, we've been given lots of new details about the game's main character as well as how it's world works. But first, if you missed it you should definitely check out the original teaser.

It appears that Tales of Crestoria will revolve around crime and sin. Residents of the game's world are required to wear magical devices called Vision Orbs that record everything the wearer sees. These recordings are sent to a set location in towns known as Vision Central. When somebody's actions call for judgment, that person's recordings will be shown and from there, citizens will vote on whether or not the defendant is guilty. If the defendant is branded as guilty, an executioner will be sent out to pass judgment.

The main character is known as Kanata Hyuga, who's the son of a monk. As with all righteous protagonists, Kanata is somebody who sticks up for the weak. Which you guessed it, gets him into some trouble. Other than that, we don't know much more. One of the first things that stuck out to me about Tales of Crestoria is the fact that the promotional art's color scheme is strikingly similar to another game about crime, Persona 5. I guess red and black is just in with criminals now.
