It looks like Tales From The Borderlands is set for an expanded re-release some time this year if a Reddit leak is to be believed.

Over on the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit (r/GamingLeaksAndRumours), a user, whose account has since been deleted, posted two off-screen videos of what looks like a trailer for Tales From The Borderlands Redux. You can check out both videos by clicking here and here. The videos are a bit blurry and don't capture the full screen, so details are hard to make out.

However, there are a few parts from the footage that can be made out for sure. For starters, the resurrected Telltale Games, Gearbox Software, 2K, and AdHoc Studio are credited at the start of the trailer. Telltale and AdHoc are currently partnering for a second attempt at The Wolf Among Us 2. Presumably, the two studios would be doing the same for this project with oversight from Gearbox.

As for new content coming to this supposed version of Tales from the Borderlands, it looks like there will be developer commentary for each episode, access to a codex, concept art, unused content, and a bonus mini-episode.

The end of the second video closes with 2020 as its release window, then hangs on a "2" for a bit. This could very likely be a tease for a second season. The URL "talesfromtheborderlands.com" can also be seen in the video. Visiting it now leads to a 404 page on the new Telltale's website.

Originally released as an episodic series starting in November 2014, Tales From The Borderlands was a change of pace for the Gearbox developed series that had consisted of only shooters up to that point. It was a chance to tell a more detailed story from a different perspective within the games' world. Its characters ended up striking a chord with many fans, even ones that had no initial interest in Borderlands coming into it.

Neither Telltale, AdHoc, Gearbox, nor 2K have commented on the leak or announced anything regarding Tales From The Borderlands as of yet, but stay tuned.
