Tales of Arise & Tales of Series Gallery Listed on PS4 Japanese PSN

Another Tales of Series 25th anniversary project

January 27, 2022

Bandai Namco is about to release a new app, the Tales of Arise & Tales of Series Gallery, here’s what it’s all about.

The PSN Releases bot on Twitter spotted on January 28 JST the addition of the Tales of Arise & Tales of Series Gallery to the PlayStation Network.

First things first, note that this PSN listing is not a leak. Bandai Namco already officially announced this app back on December 16, 2021, with a Japanese press release. This is not a teaser for older Tales of games getting remastered either.

Bandai Namco explained the Tales of Arise & Tales of Series Gallery is a special app where you can browse illustrations of all the Tales of games of these past 25th years. This mainly includes gorgeous artwork from the series’ iconic artists Kosuke Fujishima and Mutsumi Inomata. The app also has a specific larger gallery for Tales of Arise.

The Tales of Arise & Tales of Series Gallery app will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S for free. While a release date wasn’t announced yet, the app is likely launching very soon seeing that PSN listing.

New Tales of Arise animation trailer with Studio Ufotable coming soon

As previously announced, Bandai Namco and Studio Ufotable are also currently working on a new Tales of Arise anime trailer. Which will be released at a later date. Several preview screenshots were already published. You can check them out in the gallery below:

Both the gallery app and the Ufotable trailer are part of the many projects celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Tales of Series. New videos, subtitled in English, are regularly getting added to the Tales of YouTube channel too. Including anime episodes of past Tales of adaptations. Currently, new Tales of the Abyss episodes are added every week. In Japan, a bluray collection of all the anime openings of the Tales of series was also released on December 15, 2021.

Tales of producer Yusuke Tomizawa recently praised Nekcom’s newly announced JRPG. He also got interviewed by Famitsu. This was the first major interview since the release of Tales of Arise. You should read the full interview translated and summarized by Abyssal Chronicles.
