Tales of Arise just got a new update which finally added the Vacation Hootle DLC reward for the players who still didn’t have access to it yet in the USA, here’s how you obtain the accessory.

Just like all modern games in the JRPG series by Bandai Namco, Tales of Arise lets you equip various accessories on playable characters, giving a unique style to your party members. This is especially fun for New Game Plus runs. And the Hootles, Tales of Arise‘s mascots, are also part of these accessories.

How to get the Hootle Vacation in the new Tales of Arise update

Anyone who played the demo can redeem the Vacation Hootle. First, launch the game, then select Download Shop from the menu. Then go to the Store to download the Vacation Hootle Doll DLC for free. You can also download it from the Tales of Arise PS Store page manually.

After that, open the main menu in-game and go to the System sub-menu. Scroll down until you see the “Unclaimed DLC Items”. Pick and redeem the Vacation Hootle Doll DLC from the list.

Note that even if Tales of Arise is out, you can still download and play the demo to unlock the Vacation Hootle Doll DLC in the main game.

If you own Tales of Arise on Steam though, you’ll be unable to download the demo on the game’s Steam page unless you uninstall the game first. Be sure to backup your saves and setup beforehand just in case.

Tales of Arise is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The JRPG sold over 1 million copies in a week after release on September 9 in Japan and September 10 worldwide. You can always reach me on Twitter to chat about the series @A_iyane07.
