July 14, 2020

Bandai Namco published on July 14 a new development update for Tales of Crestoria, most notably mentioning the game is launching very soon. We also learned via the announcements that Tales of Crestoria will be installable soon, staying in maintenance mode till launch. To better synchronize the game’s release in all regions.

Lastly, the statement reveals pre-registrations for the game have topped 1 million accounts. The announcement is signed by Tales of Crestoria Producer Tomomi Tagawa.

Now, a fun skit with the Crestoria cast was also shared for the occasion. You should definitely check it out if you’re into Tales of, into seiyuu, and wish to hear Kanata (Kohei Amasaki), Misella (Yui Ishikawa) and Vicious (Yuma Uchida) joking about the series.

Note that the intro, the first minute or so of the skit, is different in its Japanese version, with Misella and Vicious saying the game is finally releasing, showing some tongue-in-cheekiness. Overall the skit is really meta with the bickering between Misella and Vicious, and commenting on past Tales of protagonists.

The illustration of the SSR Memoria Stone for Aegis, one of the party members, was revealed as well:

We detailed Memoria Stones and multiple other game systems in our past coverage. Meanwhile, you can catch additional details on the story and characters of Crestoria here and here.
