Bandai Namco will be hosting the first Tales of Luminaria livestream to introduce the Mobile Action RPG's world and characters, a week ahead of the Tokyo Games Show.

Revealed with a short trailer during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2021, Tales of Luminaria is the newest upcoming entry in the Tales franchise. The franchise is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and its latest release, Tales of Arise, launched last week on consoles and PC to a terrific critical reception.

What Is It?

Tales of Luminaria will be an action RPG title built for Android/iOS, that is meant to be a "game that allows anyone to experience the charm of Tales of any time, anywhere in the smartphone form factor." states Yasuhiro Ikeno, Producer in charge of all Tales titles on smartphones.

The series is no stranger to the mobile platform, having several entries previously ranging from spinoffs in different genres to crossovers featuring worlds/characters from previous Tales games. Tales of Luminaria however will be "the first completely original title for smartphones.

None of the previous series characters will appear in this title, so you will have the experience of following the encounters and growth of an all-new cast of characters." continued Yasuhiro Ikeno. This will undoubtedly make the game more approachable to first-time players who have no experience with Tales games before.

Bandai Namco will be hosting the Tales of Luminaria livestream on September 24th at 12:00 JST to divulge further details regarding the new world and the characters the game will feature. People will be able to watch the stream on Youtube.
