This October 9, Bandai Namco is holding a special event with a livestream for New York Comic Con (NYCC) which will most notably include a Tales of Series segment, where a new remaster or remake could be announced.

The Bandai Namco stream at New York Comic Con will be starting at 2 PM EST (11 AM PST). The Tales of segment will be 2 hours and 45 minutes in at 4:45 PM EST. Click here for other time zones and a countdown. The stream is happening on Twitch.

According to leaker @LeakyPandy, while a remaster of Tales of Destiny Director's Cut (the PS2 remake of the original ToD on PS1) is still coming, it's not a priority yet. While another remaster is coming very soon. Plus, it's a Tales of game known worldwide. Which means it's one of the games which were already localized in the past. Personally, I believe it's very likely something like a Tales of Xillia 1 + 2 compilation will be announced.

What we know about Tales of remakes and remasters

Tales of Arise producer Yusuke Tomizawa teased on Twitter while chatting with Japanese fans that more Tales of games remasters and remakes will be coming if Tales of Arise sells well. Right now, Tales of Arise did some really impressive sales numbers, being the fastest game in the series to reach 1 million copies sold. So we're definitely getting these remakes and remasters soon.
