Bandai Namco has released a new Japanese Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition trailer highlighting tons of different things like story, airships, item management, combat, and more. The trailer's first half focuses on story while the second half covers more RPG systems players will get their hands on in-game. You can check it out for yourself down below.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition's combat controls relatively similar to more modern entries in the series like Tales of Xillia and Tales of Berseria. Players control one character in a party of four and change on the fly. Additional party members will be controlled by A.I. In typical Tales of fashion, the game moves at a fast pace as players will combo their way through mobs of enemies with special attacks and Artes, a.k.a. magical abilities.

The title initially was only available to western audiences on the Xbox 360 in 2008. Tales of Vesperia is regarded as one of the better games in the series, so it's no surprise fans have been clamoring for a localized port to other platforms for some time. Interestingly enough, the game's main protagonist, Yuri Lowell, is voiced by one of the best in the business, Troy Baker (Death Stranding, The Last of Us, BioShock Infinite).

Even though Tales of Vesperia is celebrating its 10th anniversary, the title still holds up in terms of visuals. Vesperia uses a familiar cell-shaded art style that sets it apart from entries that came after it like Zestiria, Xillia, and Berseria. You can see the visuals on full display in some screenshots that were released late last month.

This time around, there'll be no shortage of places to try Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition as it'll launch on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC on January 11.
