Today Bandai Namco Entertainment announced with a press release the launch date of Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition.

The game will release on January 11th, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch.

The Definitive Edition will come with upscaled resolution and plenty of costumes and events never released in the west. It will include two additional characters on top of the cast included in the Xbox 360 version, Flynn Scifo, best friend and rival of the hero, and young amnesiac pirate Patty Fleur.

The game uses a special version of the Linear Motion Battle System (LMBS). Players control a single member of the party in real-time combat, while the other three characters are controlled by the AI via a set of custom parameters. It's possible to switch playable character at any given time.
