Tangiers Brings Cassette Tape-Headed Monsters to Steam This November

Tangiers was a Kickstarter that raised over £42 back in August of 2013. Now, Andalusian Games has announced a beta beginning on September 3, 2015 and a final release on November 26, 2015 for Steam across Windows, Mac, and Linux systems. Late entries into the beta are still being accepted by pre-ordering the game on the official site.

Tangiers itself is a stealth horror game with a very simple color palette and procedurally-generated levels. Additionally the game features, “items manifested as text bubbles made concrete,” which sadly is not shown in the newest trailer. What is shown though are multiple deformed humanoid beings, some with cassette tapes for heads, with no hands. As the Kickstarter explains:

Keeping to the shadows is to be encouraged – reality here is a fragile place. Your interactions with the world cause it to fall apart. In homage to Burrough’s cut-up technique, the world collapses and rebuilds itself the more you interact with it – future areas rebuilt with the fragments and personality of places you mistreated. From this every play-through will, subtly or drastically, be unique to you
