Tango Gameworks Announces a New Survival Horror Game Codenamed "Zwei"

It’s been awhile since we’ve heard anything from Tango Gameworks and Shinji Mikami but the team has put out a new announcement today that is sure to pique some interest as it has been revealed that they are working on a new survival horror game which is currently codenamed “Zwei” which is German for the number two for those who are unaware. The image above is a collage of some concept art from the game which should give a few hints as to the direction being taken.

Shinji Mikami is of course most famous for creating the Resident Evil franchise and seeing his name return to his survival horror roots is sure to be something fans will be excited for. Mikami says he is dedicated to creating a “pure” survival horror experience which he sees as something that pushes the limits of fear and exhilaration. Check after the break for a quote from the man himself on the upcoming game.

“A true ‘survival horror’ game is one in which the player confronts and overcomes fear. I’ve found my focus and once again I’m striving for pure survival horror. I am being very hands-on in the development of this game to ensure that the quality is there. Rest assured.”

Hopefully we’ll learn more about this game soon including a planned release windows and platforms being developed for. Keep your eyes peeled for more information.
