Action/Adventure Game Tartarus Receives Launch Trailer Ahead of November Release
Abyss Gameworks' first-person action/adventure space disaster, Tartarus, launches on November 21, but the celebratory trailer is available now!
Back in April Abyss Gameworks announced that its action/adventure title Tartarus had been greenlit by the Steam community. In anticipation of the game’s release date this November, the developer unveiled the launch trailer.
In Tartarus, you play as Cooper, the cook for the ship, who awakens to find the entire operation in disarray. As the only surviving crew member with access to the ship’s systems but without a clue of how to manage them, Cooper (and the player) will need to rely on the advice of Andrews, the Tartarus’ system engineer, to navigate it away from its inevitable plummet towards Neptune.
This first-person exploration game will ask that you follow Andrews’ voice to utilize the ship’s realistic computer systems, but also to prevent mechanical crises such as bursting pipes and a failing engine system. Abyss Gameworks says that the gameplay will remind many of the days when a pen and paper were required to complete a classic puzzle. Will you and Andrews be able to revive the Tartarus before its demise 2.7 billion miles from Earth?
Tartarus has been developed using Unreal Engine 4 and will launch for PC on November 21. For more information on the game, you can visit its Steam page.
