Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Nintendo World Event Recap

January 24, 2010

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Ultimate All-Stars has arrived in New York City on Saturday January 23 in a big way. With the producer of TvsC: Ultimate All-Stars, Niitsuma-san and the folks from Capcom came to Nintendo World with prizes, tournaments, and goodies. The lines ran pretty long as fans eagerly waited for doors to open at 11AM. Luckily, they started the event by allowing people in the doors a little before. From there on the fun never stopped. Fans were able to snag some cool T-shirts, towels and have their posters signed by Niitsuma-san himself. I also got a chance to bump into Seth Killian (Capcom community leader). There were of course cosplayers that livened up the already awesome atmosphere. Tournaments were also underway which consisted of one-on-one matches, and to find the person who makes the highest combo every hour. Winners were rewarded prizes which included a copy of the game three days before release. Of course, the winners were people who imported the game (or modded their Wii’s) and they are cheaters! But seriously, wish you all you could have made it and those who didn’t, check out pictures from the event.
