Those who have sampled some of the many games in Team 17’s Worms franchise are well aware of the studio’s propensity for murderous cartoon mayhem.
While Worms always featured sheep as a devastating explosive device, Flockers, the studio’s first new IP in twelve-years, has the player working to save them.
Team 17 released their first trailer today, giving the world its first glimpses of the game since it was originally announced in February.
“The sheep are finally making a dash for freedom,” says the video’s YouTube description. “Escaping the tyrannical Worms, the flock must dodge their way past all manner of lethal machinery and traps as they negotiate their path through the confinement of the Worms weapons factory and onwards to pastures green.”
Flockers will be a survival puzzle game, in the style of the classic Lemmings series. Players must navigate their sheep through a variety of levels, dodging traps and saving the herd from gory hilarious death.
The game will be available on Steam Early Access in the second quarter of this year.
