Developer Visiontrick Media has released a new teaser trailer of its upcoming Oculus Rift exclusive game, MARE.
For those that don’t know: MARE is being developed by former Team Ico (Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian) developer Rui Guerreiro, with the “help” of Visiontrick Media, whose previous work includes fourth-person puzzle game Pavilion.
MARE is an exploratory and sensory VR adventure experienced through a mechanical bird and a lost girl on a journey through a mythical world.
By the means of your gaze you indirectly guide and manipulate the aforementioned technical creature, known as BIRD — which you for yet unknown reasons are strangely attached to.
Sailing the winds from vane to vane, you will explore, traverse, and interact with the serene world of MARE that is lost in time, and filled with untangled mysteries.
Notably, back in November, Guerreiro confirmed that the game would roughly be a three hour long experience, and that it was about halfway done. At the time — following The Last Guardian — he was not ready to commit to a release window. That being said, a release date (nor window) still has not been provided. However, if the game was 50 percent done last November, it probably isn’t very far off.
