Team Ninja Cancels Two Working Projects

If you’re as big as a Dead or Alive nut as I am, you’ve probably been hounding the internet for some time trying to find information on the next game. We know now that that game will be Dead or Alive Dimensions for the Nintendo 3DS. Before this reveal though, we had heard a little bit about a game called Dead or Alive Cronus.

Team Ninja reveals in an interview with Famitsu that the game has been cancelled. Not only that, but another game, called Project Progressive has also bitten the dust. Both Dead or Alive Cronus and Project Progressive would have been action games. It should be noted that at least the Dead or Alive project was being worked on by the infamous Tomonobu Itagaki, whom as we know left Team Ninja to create Valhalla Games.

Accordingly, the last time work was done on either of these projects was five years ago, before the nasty court proceedings saw Itagaki leaving. At least they didn’t work on it for five years and then cancel it.  Dead or Alive Dimensions is expected to release sometime next year for the yet unreleased Nintendo 3DS.
