Team Ninja recently shared a couple of ideas for features that they'd like to implement in a fighting game for next generation consoles. Dead or Alive 5 producer Ryohei Shimbori expressed that the team is currently "experimenting" with different ideas and concepts.

Although the software will, of course, improve by a great deal graphically, the team is also very excited about new networking possibilities next gen hardware will offer. Ryohei says that they envision an online lobby much grander than any that have appeared in fighters so far; one that would connect all of the players in the world into one massive virtual arcade. Doesn't that sound fancy?

Lastly, Ryohei notes that the team understands the new e-sport nature of fighting games and that online features are now necessary in fighters. Hopefully being equipped with this information will help them make DOA's online suite full and functional.

Dead or Alive 5 will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360 this September.
