After being teased during SXSW, Team Sonic Racing has officially been revealed by SEGA. It will hit PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch sometime this Winter.

Team Sonic Racing is developed by Sumo Digital, who worked on the Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing and Tennis games. While it is being released physically on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch for $40, it will only be available digitally on PC.

The game features 12-player races and include Grand Prix, Exhibition, Time Trial, and Adventure modes. The Adventure mode has its own story, and will also help players learn about everything they can do in game. Team Sonic Racing will feature both online and four-player split screen offline multiplayer.

As the game's title suggests, racers will compete in teams, and can work together to knock out opponents and even use Team Ultimate moves. Team Sonic Racing also features a ton of customization options for one's vehicle, and will include Speed, Technique, and Power classes for characters. Fourteen different wisps will also be used during battle has offensive and defensive items.
