Publisher SEGA and developer Sumo Digital have raced out from the start line today and left a brand new E3 trailer for us. The Team Sonic Racing gameplay trailer debuts some of the first footage of the racing title due to be arriving this winter.

In the trailer, we get to see various familiar faces from the Sonic the Hedgehog universe, taking to some surreal looking tracks, racing against one another in fancy cars that match the drivers. You can watch the trailer below and witness some of the features being teased, such as a boost button, drifting, and even a glimpse at power-ups that can be collected.

In fact, players can use various mechanics such as Item Transfer, Slingshot, Skim Boost, and even more to push them and their team to victory. Team Sonic Racing will be available to play alone or online multiplayer and will allow up to twelve racers on various tracks and with customizable vehicles. Here is a list of game modes that have been confirmed for the title:

  • Grand Prix.
  • Time Trial.
  • Team Adventure.

Team Sonic Racing was unveiled last month which saw a reveal trailer and screenshots land. We had already seen the title teased back in March. Pre-orders are available and you can pre-order over on Amazon.

Team Sonic Racing will launch on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch this winter.
