Tecmo Delays Quantum Theory

February 3, 2010

To some, Quantum Theory is just a Gears of War wannabe. In fact, if you were to actually see some footage, that’s exactly what you might think when comparing the two. The overall mechanics and gameplay seem to mimic exactly that of what you see in Gears of War, but there’s going to be a bit of a wait before we can actually find out for ourselves what exactly QT uniquely offers. Why the wait, you ask? Simply because Tecmo has confirmed to Eurogamer that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 shooter has been delayed until later this year.

“We can confirm that Quantum Theory has been moved to later in 2010. We feel the game deserves optimum development time, and we aim to deliver the very best title we can. We are thoroughly committed to Quantum Theory and this short delay can only make for a stronger, more entertaining game,” the publisher told Eurogamer.

I sincerely hope that there are some adjustments made as, again, this game looks too much like Epic’s shooter. The only difference? Well, Dom is a chick and, well, the main character has a very emo look going for him.
