Tecmo Koei Unveils a $245 Limited Edition of Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate

May 24, 2013

Japanese collector’s editions are almost always more lavish than the sets we see released in the US, but this is excessive. Tecmo Koei has revealed a packed limited edition of Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate. It’s called the Kasumi-chan Blue & Momoji Red Package and it will retail for 24,990 yen, which is the Japanese equivalent of nearly $250. Surely only the most serious DOA fans will consider dropping such big bucks on this set.

So what will your $250 buy you? The set includes: a copy of the game (duh), the Dead or Alive Soundtrack Volume 3, a Kasumi poster, a Momiji poster, an “I’m a Fighter” B2 size poster, Kasumi playing cards, Momiji playing cards, idol costume DLC, “Ultimate Sexy” costume DLC (pictured below), a life size Kasumi tapestry, a life size Momiji life size tapestry, a red Momiji 3D mousepad and a blue Kasumi 3D mousepad.

If you aren’t willing to spend quite that much money, you can get a copy of the game and the Kasumi items or a copy of the game and the Momiji items, as well as the costume DLC and soundtrack for 16,590 yen (about $163). For an even more modest 11,340 yen you can get a copy of the game, the soundtrack, the Kasumi mousepad, the Kasumi playing cards and the “Ultimate Sexy” costumes.

There are no pictures of these items available yet, but we’ll definitely have you covered when some are available. Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate will be available worldwide later this year. Do you think North America will get any of these items?
