Bandai Namco just made the announcement at EVO that Tekken 7 will be receiving a third season of new content. The season will include four new characters as well as new features and updates. After the loser's finals match for Tekken 7 a short video popped up on the EVO main screen showing the titular character conversing with Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada through his codec. In the text of the conversation, Snake simply said, "That was some good ass Tekken."

The video was not shown on the EVO stream; however, attendees went to Twitter showing it on stage and how the audience erupted.

Because of this little moment, many Tekken fans started to believe that there was a possibility for Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid to come to Tekken 7 as a DLC character. Unfortunately, EVO later clarified on their official Twitter that the tease was a joke that was not meant to be taken seriously. They also stated that they did not speak with Bandai Namco for their approval. Neither Bandai Namco or Katsuhiro Harada has made a statement regarding the joke.

As for fighting games this popular character is actually in, Snake appeared in the 2003 Japanese exclusive DreamMix TV World Fighters before coming to Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the Nintendo Wii. He later returned in the franchises current entry Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Since launch, Tekken 7 has obtained a huge following. The fighting game had the third-highest number of entrants at EVO this year almost surpassing Street Fighter V. Season 3 of Tekken 7 begins next month in September. You can purchase the game on Amazon.
