Namco-Bandai has finally announced a solid, worldwide release date for Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Fighting fans around the world will get to take this puppy home on September 10th, 2012. Sure it's four months away, but it really isn't that much of a wait if you've been following this game since it hit Japanese arcades in September of last year.

Furthermore, as previously suspected, pre-ordering the game will grant exclusive early access to two of the four DLC characters. Europeans can pre-order from Zavvi for Kunimitsu and Ogre or from Shopto.net for Angel and Michelle. Again, these characters will be released for free download after the period of exclusivity. Retailers have yet to be revealed for North America.

Lucky Europe will get a fancy "We Are Tekken" edition of the game, which will come bundled with a steel case, a soundtrack, a remix soundtrack, a "Tekken Takes Tokyo" behind-the-scenes DVD featuring Katsuhiro Harada and an enormous 200-page hardcover art-book. It's really a very, very handsome set, I'm praying it sees release in the US as well. We'll keep you updated on the pre-order details for the US.
