Telltale’s Batman Series’ First Episode Will Release in August; At Retail September 13

Telltale announced today that the first episode of Batman- The Telltale Series will release digitally sometime in August. They then revealed that they are partnering with Warner Bros.Interactive to bring both their Batman game and the third season of their popular The Walking Dead Series to retail for PS3, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.

Physical copies of Batman-The Telltale Series will release September 13 in North America and September 16 in Europe. The retail version will include a “Season Pass Disc” which grants access to the first episode immediately, followed by the the subsequent four episodes as they are released.  No launch date was given for The Walking Dead Season Three.

Kevin Kebodeaux, the Senior Vice President of Sales in America at Warner Bros. Interactive had the following to say about the deal:

“Telltale has a stellar reputation for delivering quality content based on world-renowned properties and these games make a great addition to our line-up. We previously worked with Telltale on The Wolf Among Us and now on the recently announced Batman – The Telltale Series, so we are very pleased to expand our partnership with worldwide retail distribution for its upcoming titles.”

Telltale Games will announce the release date of the first episode sometime next week with a reveal trailer.  We will be sure to let you know when that date is officially revealed.
