on June 20, 2012 10:30 AM

GOG.com and CD Projekt Red have earned the love of gamers around the world with their treatment of their customers, with GOG in particular stepping far above and beyond the call of duty and offering a helping hand to customers whether they used their service or not by offering a free DRM-free copy if The Witcher and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings to players who purchased the games from any service around the world.

While the service to download said copy will continue to run for awhile there is one caveat in that you now only have ten days to claim your free code with the opportunity to do so ending on June 30th. So if you own the game do yourself a favor and go do that now!

In addition CD Projekt Red have announced that The Witcher 2 will receive a permanent price-drop across the board for all customers that are paying in US dollars making the game a very appealing $39.99.
