Tennis fans, rejoice, for there is a new contender on the horizon in the VR playspace with Tennis League VR for Meta Quest and Meta Quest 2 and you'll be able to give it a go at no cost before release.

From tomorrow, August 12th, you'll be able to take the game for a free (top)spin courtesy of the free demo being launched on the official Quest storefront. At the time of writing, Tennis League VR is also available as an early alpha release via the Quest AppLab, but the official demo launching on August 12th will be more robust and available to all players for free.

This demo is coming to drum up a bit of interest ahead of the game's impending release later this year, sometime in the Fall, or Autumn if Wimbledon is just a few hours away by train.

Tennis League VR promises players an authentic tennis experience in VR with realistic physics that allow players to pull off true-to-life tennis moves. There's a full single-player mode with various gameplay options, as well as online multiplayer where you'll be able to set up one vs one matches, tournaments, and even invite a few friends to sit in the virtual stands to cheer you on.

Meta Quest and Meta Quest 2 already have a couple of decent tennis games in the form of First Person Tennis and Eleven VR Table Tennis. Admittedly, the latter isn't the full tennis experience, but it's a good entry point for newcomers to the sport and comes highly recommended from yours truly. But if it's the full grand slam experience that you're wanting, the free demo for Tennis League VR is out tomorrow. Strawberries and cream not included.
