There haven't been too many great Tennis video games released over the past couple years, which is why many players, including myself, are looking forward to Tennis World Tour from developer Breakpoint and publisher Bigben Interactive. While the game just had a somewhat vague May 2018 release window before today, it has been announced that Tennis World Tour will be releasing on May 22.

This release date announcement also came alongside the unveiling of Tennis World Tour's cover art, which will actually differ from region to region. While famous Tennis player Roger Federer will take center stage in all regions, the two players around him will change depending on what region you pick the game up in. You can check out an image that showcases all the different covers below.

There really has been a lack of good Tennis games during this generation of consoles, so I'm glad that we are finally seeing a resurgence of this kind of game. While something like Mario Tennis Aces may be a bit too cartoony for avid sports game fans, Tennis World Tour looks to be a sports game much more grounded in the simulation of the support, which will hopefully make a treat for fans of the genre.

You can check out some new gameplay screenshots below. Tennis World Tour is currently poised to launch for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on May 22.
