TERA Shows Even More Skin With Swimsuit-Powered Summer Event

on July 28, 2012 12:52 PM

TERA isn’t exactly known for covering its characters in bulky armor or lots of fabric (besides a few race/gender combinations), but looks like there’s more skin to show with the upcoming summer event, that will kick off on August the 3rd and end on August the 13th.

The event will run on¬†weekdays from 12:00 PM to 11:59 PM Pacific and on weekends from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM Pacific. Defeated monsters in coastal areas (Tuwangi Mire, Mistmoor Island, Cutthroat Harbor, Jagged Coast, Tempest Reach, Serpentis Isle, and Balder’s Refuge) will drop special event boxes that will contain fireworks, rare crystals, combat consumables and event¬†swimsuits.

The swimsuits will come in three colors per race/gender combination and will be tradable. The caveat is that they will last only 30 days. Luckily, if the timer works like the one featured by dyes, it means 30 days of actual play time, which will last several months for most people.

Those that want permanent swimsuits will be able to purchase them in the game’s cash shop, where they will be available only until the end of the event.

Completing five easy achievements will also unlock the “Summer Lovin'” title, and receive a pair of summer shades (with a chance to get a rare pair of Aviator-like “Mirrorer Shades”).

If you think your Castanic’s armor wasn’t skimpy enough, this is your chance.
