Game development is a never-ending cycle. Hironobu Sakaguchi, who created Final Fantasy, one of the longest-lasting franchises of all times, knows that very well. This year, his studio Mistwalker Corporation released Terra Battle 2, the sequel to the popular mobile game Terra Battle, and announced another game titled Terra Wars.

Yet, he is far from done. During a massive New Year interview on the Japanese website 4gamer, Sakaguchi-san mentioned that in spring 2018 he will begin development not just of Terra Wars, but also of Terra Battle 3. On top of that, he will continue supporting both Terra Battle and Terra Battle 2.

On top of that, Mistwalker will relocate to a new office at the beginning of the year, and Sakaguchi-san intends to use that as encouragement to do his best in the new year.

At the moment we don't know anything else about the plans for Terra Battle 3, and we don't know if it has anything to do with the console version that Sakaguchi-san promised in 2015, and about which we heard very little since.
