The official Twitter account for Terraria has confirmed that update 1.4.4 will release for all supported platforms on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022. The developers also confirmed that the release time for the upcoming Terraria update would be 7AM PT / 10AM ET / 3PM BST.
The developers noted in the release time announcement, "We’ll push all other approved platforms live at that time, keep in mind, those systems are more complex, so actual time it arrives on your device could vary -you’ll want to keep an eye out!". So, although the update will be deployed at 10AM EST, it may take some time before it hits your platform.
According to the Terraria Fandom Wiki page, update 1.4.4 will include two new secret world seeds, new achievements, new items, and plenty of quality of life improvements. The official patch notes are expected to be shared by the developers once the update is officially live across all platforms.
