Yesterday, the official Tesla Motors Reddit page added a post about the new Tesla Model S and Model X having the ability to "Game from anywhere". While gaming inside of a Tesla vehicle isn't something new, the shocker here is that both of these models have 10 teraflops of processing power. I'll let you process that.On the official websites for the Tesla Model S and Model X, the car has 2 monitors. One on the dashboard, and one in the back. the dashboard monitor in both vehicles is 17" with 2200x1300 resolution. It's detailed that the car has 10 teraflops of processing power and supports wireless gaming, allowing wireless controllers to link up with the vehicle to play a range of games available from Tesla's Arcade hub.In the promotional images, users will be able to play Stardew Valley, Cuphead, and even The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from the comfort of the Tesla. For some comparisons on the teraflop side of things:

  • Xbox Series X: 12 teraflops
  • Xbox Series S: 4 teraflops
  • PS5: 10 teraflops
  • Tesla Model S / X: 10 teraflops

It's worth noting, just in case...that while a Tesla has the same number of teraflops as a PS5, the games available are still only limited to whatever is available on the Tesla Arcade hub. So if you're thinking of getting a Tesla instead of a PS5, you won't be able to play Resident Evil Village in it. At least not yet anyway. The Model S looks to cost just under $80,000 for the Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive, and the Model X looks to be just over $83,000 for the Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive.

Last year, rumours started circulating that Tesla had partnered with AMD to replace the Intel chips in its cars. While there's no confirmation on this (That I can find) Elon Musk apparently joked that the upcoming models would be able to run Cyberpunk 2077. Today, Elon has claimed that they can indeed play Cyberpunk 2077 even though there are no images showcasing this. But that may just be because Tesla likes The Witcher so much that it made the TV series song a music option.

If you want to know the specs, a Model X can hit 155mph with a range of 360 miles. The Model S has a range of 412 miles with a top speed of 155mph. Now how quickly does The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt boot up?
