This is not a drill, the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, are hitting shelves next month.

The fourth generation of games are set to be re-released for the first time since they debuted on the Nintendo DS back in 2006 and it's safe to say that it's an exciting time.

While the graphical changes might not be to everybody's liking, it goes without saying that there is tons of fun to be had and plenty of "new" Pokemon to discover and catch.

Ahead of the game's launch, we've looked at every Pokemon that was released with Diamond and Pearl and ranked the five that we feel don't get enough love overall.

5. Honchkrow

Honchkrow is a Dark- and Flying-type Pokemon that evolves from Gold and Silver's Murkrow.

While Murkrow is a little basic, Honchkrow is quite the opposite.

It's a fashion-forward pokemon sporting a dapper tophat and bold white neckerchief with a nice contrasting blue and red colour scheme.

It also packs a punch, with some half-decent stats for a flying-type Pokemon.

4. Rhyperior

One of the main things about Diamond and Pearl is the fact that most of the new Pokemon are evolutions of Pokemon from previous generations. That made making this list a little trickier, however, Rhyperior had to feature.

It's an absolute tank of a Rock- and Ground-type Pokemon that doesn't get the love it deserved for being "just another evolution".

It might have a double weakness to Water-type moves but this brute can also use Surf. Figure that one out!

3. Rampardos

Of every Pokemon in the entire series, Rampardos has the second-highest attack stat, beating out all other Pokemon except Deoxys. It deserves recognition for that alone.

Yes, the rest of its stats are pretty abysmal, but to have a stronger attack than Mewtwo, Rayquaza and many, many more is pretty cool.

2. Togekiss

Togekiss is only a Pokemon I've cared about recently - and I'm not really sure why.

It's got some really solid stats, a nifty type combination and it also looks pretty cool. If I've only just figured out what a good Pokemon it is, I'm sure there are loads of you out there who don't rate it highly enough either!

1. Magnezone

Like Togekiss, there's something special about Magnezone but I just can't put my finger on it.

It could be its gormless, alien appearance, the fact it evolves from Magnemite/Magneton, two OG Pokemon or that it's just a brute but either way, Magnezone definitely deserves more love.
