The Battle Begins in Star Fox Zero’s 14-Minute Animated Short Film

Starting tomorrow, players can jump back into an Arwing and fly through the skies of Corneria in the upcoming Star Fox Zero, and in celebration of the game’s release on Wii U, one of Nintendo’s pre-release surprises includes an animated adventure for Team Star Fox.

As teased by Nintendo earlier this week, the company debuted Star Fox Zero: The Battle Begins, an animated short film featuring Fox McCloud and the rest of the Star Fox team as the short film shows the events leading up the story of Star Fox Zero, with the short created and produced by Wit Studio (Attack on Titan) in collaboration with Production I.G. (Ghost in the Shell) and Nintendo.

Star Fox Zero is available for Wii U in Japan, while the game will release tomorrow, April 22nd for the US and April 23rd for Australia – in the meantime, you can check out the full animated short film The Battle Begins below:
