TBATE Chapter 147 Recap
The previous chapter starts with Arthur and Windsom talking in his cell. Windsom says he has done a great job by saving the academy, but his safety is of utmost importance. Windsom isn’t able to understand why Draneeve took Elijah with him. Arthur replies that he didn’t understand that either, but he will go for his rescue after being freed from here. Windsom informs Arthur that they took Elijah back to Alacrya, and it will be a suicide mission to rescue him from there.
Windsom calls Arthur lucky as he arrived at the academy after Draneeve left from there, as he would have been captured alive for Vritra. He further warns Arthur that if they find out he has the innate will of Sylvia and her daughter, even Asuras might not be able to keep him safe. While they are talking, Bairon arrives in the cell and notices Windsom. Knowing that he is an intruder, Bairon starts to attack him, but he is too weak to stand against him.
Varay arrives at the moment and informs Bairon that Windsom is diety, and she apologizes to him on his behalf. Everyone then goes to the council room, where Aldir explains his and Windsom’s purpose for arriving there. He explains that they are here to give the lesser beings like them a chance of survival in the war against Vritra.
Aldir says that the war has already started, and he has begun to eliminate the corrupted ones, talking about the Greysunders. Blain asks why they need their help, as they are powerful enough to handle Vritra on their own. Aldir replies that Vritra and three other clans under his control were former Asuras who broke the law, so it won’t be an easy war. He adds that we had a pact that neither the Asuras nor the Vritra clan would ever hurt the inferior beings. But Vritra won’t hesitate to break the law.

Arthur gets angry and says that black-horned demons have been invading their place for quite a while, and have even killed a lance. Vritra replies that they are not Asuras but lesser beings that have gone through multiple experiments. However, they are powerful enough to kill even the strongest mages in Dicathen. Merial asks about their chances of victory, to which Aldir replies that the Monsters are Vritra’s trump cards in the war. But now, as they know of his presence, they won’t use them recklessly. Finally, the meeting comes to an end, and Arthur asks Windsom where are they going? He replies that they are going to the homeland of Asuras, where he will get his training.
