Although many players enjoy figuring out a build unique to themselves, Elden Ring is a massive game. Often, it makes more sense to have some guidance on what gear to equip, or which weapons to run! This guide aims to do exactly that.

The Best Classes For Strength

Before diving into the best builds, it is important to know which starting classes are going to best serve your quest for Strength. While many of the classes start with a decent Strength level, the Hero is unrivaled when it comes to finding the strongest character. Honorable mentions include the Vagabond, Samurai, and the Confessor.

Best Elden Ring Strength Builds

Dual Giant-Crushers

Elden-Ring-Giant-Crusher

Weapons: Dual Giant-Crusher Hammers

Armor: Raptor's Black Feathers Robe

Ashes of War: Royal Knight's Resolve

Talismans: Claw Talisman, Green Turtle Talisman

Let's be real, you are going to need an insanely high strength (60) in order to effectively run these. Not to mention a very high Endurance is also necessary in order to actually move around with these colossal weapons. However, with these absolute units of a hammer, you will find that most enemies, even some bosses, will be put down within just a few hits.

The Royal Knight's Resolve Ash of War is going to be vital, as it will give a whopping 160% damage boost (80% per hammer). The Raptor's Black Feathers armor is going to significantly boost jump attack damage which will be the primary attack for this build, so be sure to equip it. The talismans are also important, especially the Claw Talisman which will further enhance those jump attacks. The Green Turtle Talisman will greatly increase stamina recovery speed, allowing for more swings. This Talisman will be utilized in every strength build discussed here.

The Star Caller

Elden-Ring-Starcaller

Weapon: Starscourge Greatsword

Armor: Raptor's Black Feathers

Ashes of War: Starcaller Cry

Talismans: Claw talisman, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, Green Turtle Talisman

While this build is going to do slightly less damage per second than the Dual Giant-Crushers, it is equally viable. The Ash of War, Starcaller Cry, is one of the most powerful in the game and has a tremendous area of effect.

Try to chain together jump attacks and successive attacks, as this will best utilize the equipped Armor and Talismans. One thing to keep in mind for this build is that it is going to require a pretty decent intelligence level, so make sure to get it to around level 35 by the time your strength reaches 70 or so. This is because the Starscourge scales immensely with Intelligence. Make sure to always be two-handing the weapon as this will actually split the sword into two, making it much more viable.

Fire Greatsword

Elden-Ring-Fire-Greatsword

Weapons: Fire Greatsword, Any Sacred Seal (Left Hand)

Armor: Crucible Axe Armor

Ashes of War: Lion's Claw

Talismans: Erdtree's Favor, Warrior Jar Shard, Faligreed Crest

Spells: Golden Vow, Flame Grant Me Strength

Another colossal weapon, the Fire Greatsword, will grant the capability to eliminate main bosses in fewer than 10 hits if utilized properly. The Lion's Claw is absolutely vital to this build. This ability sends the player into a flip attack which cannot be staggered after it has begun, and does massive damage upon landing. Plus, as an added bonus, the flip actually takes up a pretty small hitbox making it difficult to be hit! Each of the Talismans listed will help with equipment load, stamina, and HP. These are vital considering this build will be extremely heavy, turning simple tasks like dodging and swinging into quite a chore. The one exception to this is the Warrior Jar Shard which will give a pretty decent damage increase to the Lion's Claw Ash of War. Also, don't forget that you are going to need to keep that Faith stat leveled up in order to perfectly run this build!
