Those worried about trying to get into the incredibly hard The Binding of Isaac series when it releases later this year on PlayStation systems can breath a sigh of relief. Binding of Isaac: Rebirth will play differently from the original, keeping the harder levels and enemies locked off in order to ease players in, designer Edmund McMillen announced yesterday.

Rebirth wont play the same as isaac+wrath, the extra floors/bosses will slowly unlock over playing and getting to XYZ.

When the Wrath of Lamb DLC was released for the original Binding of Isaac, the new content was criticised by some for pitting newer players against enemies that even more veteran players found challenging.

From the sound of things, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth aims to rectify this, with its new content all added in a way that eases players in more gently.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth will launch later this year on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, PC, Linux and Mac.
