Wadjet Eye Games’ Blackwell adventure game series will conclude this April with The Blackwell Epiphany.
Blackwell is about a woman named Rosangela Blackwell who has the ability to communicate with the spirits of the dead. Together with a jazz-era ghost name Joey Malone, she helps New York City’s lost souls not only accept that they have died but also to find peace so that they can move on to the next world.
In The Blackwell Epiphany, a mysterious force is destroying the lost souls. Rosa and Joey must find a way to stop this from happening. Both will face a challenge they may not be prepared for.
The game will be the longest game in the series. It will let you play as Rosa and Joey who each have unique abilities. Epiphany will be fully voice acted and will have an original musical score.
“I always knew how Rosa and Joey’s story would end, but figuring out how to get there was a challenge,” says series creator Dave Gilbert. “Every lesson I learned over the last eight years has been put to good use. This is the last Blackwell game and we’ve given it our all — it’s longer, more detailed, darker, and more atmospheric than any of the games that came before it. I can’t think of a more worthy note to end on.”
You can catch up and play the other four games in the Blackwell series on PC by buying them from the Steam Store which is currently having a 25% sale. The series is also available to buy from Gog or from the developer’s own website. The entire series will be coming out for the iPhone and iPad this Spring starting with The Blackwell Legacy.
