The Book of Unwritten Tales Might Be Another Sleeper Indie Hit

I don’t want to toot our own horn, but we get quite a lot of submissions from indie devs asking us to promote their games. As is usually the case, not all of them are fantastic, or even come close to approaching that, but The Book of Unwritten Tales really caught my eye.

Developed by KING Art, the graphics aren’t exactly up to standards, and at first glance it just looks like a terribly mediocre RPG. However, it’s actually a point-and-click adventure heavily inspired by old LucasArts games, and goes one further by heavily parodying other classic fantasy properties. Basically, it sounds like a point-and-click Magicka, and that pleases me greatly.

Check out the trailer here, additional video footage here, and hit the jump to check a gallery of screenshots. The Book of Unwritten Tales drops in the US this fall, and trust me, this won’t be the last you’ve heard of it.
