With the release of last summer’s Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, players had the chance to play the latest narrative experience from developer The Chinese Room, while those that may have missed one of their earlier efforts on PC and Mac, Dear Esther, will finally get the chance to do so with the game’s console release this summer.

The Chinese Room announced that Dear Esther will release on PS4 and Xbox One this summer, bringing over the original 2012 release to consoles in collaboration with publisher Curve Digital.

Along with the game’s release for the first time on consoles, the PS4/Xbox One version of the title will also bring with it a Director’s Commentary mode, allowing players to hear behind-the-scenes insight from the developers while playing.

Dear Esther is available now for PC, Mac, and Linux, with the game to release on PS4 and Xbox One this summer.
