Video games can get pretty drab sometimes when it comes to art style. A lot don't have a true art style and instead opt to create the most realistic visuals possible. Thank the gaming gods for independent developers who aren't afraid of putting something out there which is completely quirky and unique.

One such developer is Richard Hogg who is one of the co-creators of Hohokum. He is an artist who loves video games but very few video games looked like the art that he loves. He got together with programmer Ricky Haggett to create a game that looked like his art.

As you can see from the trailer this game is visually unlike most games out there. The fact that the visuals are essentially Hogg's art come to life also give it an aesthetic that is its own.

Hohokum will be released for PlayStation systems (PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4) this summer.
