The Crew 2 Demolition Derby Content Update Teased in New Video
Looks like you're going to be able to smash up your cars some more.
Ubisoft has teased a new Demolition Derby mode for their racing title The Crew 2 and you’re probably right in thinking this is the titles take on the Battle Royale genre.
A new video —that can be found below— landed on the official Ubisoft channel, and while we don’t get given much information, it does look like we’ll be seeing some bangers smashed up to pieces. The trailer starts off showing us a proper demolition derby car in The Crew 2, stopped in time as the camera tracks through the scene. The shots are fairly close up to start with, possibly indicating that we’ll see a greater range of damage available to the vehicles that is currently available.
We see the edges of a demolition derby ring which gives us the information that this will be set within an actual ring as opposed to The Crew 2’s open-world system. Finally, before the fade-to-white we see time catching up as a car smashes into another and we witness the glorious sight of metal-on-metal crushing action.
There’s no other information about this except that it’s a new update that will be coming to The Crew 2 soon. This is going to be the second major content update to arrive to the title and should be a free update as promised when Ubisoft announced the Season Pass before launch. The Gator Rush update arrived to the title for free back in September, so that would mean we’re coming up to the third month. We’ve also just had a November Vehicle Drop arrive bringing a new car and boat to the game.
The Crew 2 is available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
