Berlin-based developer Yager Development has posted a teaser trailer for their newest project called The Cycle, a match based first person shooter. The game is due to be released later this year.

The trailer pans through an exotic, colorful jungle environment full of strange looking creatures. It ends with a shot of a man standing next to a shuttle as he watches others land in the distance. In the game, players will fulfill contracts on a foreign planet called Fortuna III that last about twenty minutes each. Staying on the planet for any longer than that is detrimental to their health.

In addition to having access to this new world, players will be able to craft gear, buy new gear and weapons from the black market, and customize their character to fit their specific playstyle. To perform the necessary quests, players can also meet each other on the surface of Fortuna III and forge uneasy alliances to complete contracts.

The Cycle is currently being developed for PC and will enter Alpha testing in August, which you can sign up for on the game's website. According to Steam, the game will be released in early December. Check out the trailer below and some screenshots as well.
