Resident Evil Showcase officially went live last night and shared some important news around Resident Evil Village and the 25th anniversary of the whole series. As a part of the celebration for the franchise's 25th anniversary, Capcom and Ubisoft will work together to bring a crossover event to The Division 2 with some iconic cosmetics from the Resident Evil series.

Going live as of February 2nd, this upcoming crossover will giveaway Leon Kennedy's R.P.D. outfit from Resident Evil 2 to every player that logs into The Division 2 from the starting day of the event. Aside from that, there will be even more outfits from different iconic characters of the Resident Evil series in the game, but you have to play the game and earn points for unlocking the other ones. Aside from outfits, there are some special skin weapons, and other cosmetic items as well. The event will end on February 15th. Below, you can check out its official trailer:

You can play The Division 2 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is also playable through the backward compatibility feature on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. We will probably get even more details around the cross over the event as we get closer to its launch date.

Last night's Resident Evil Showcase brought two new trailers from Resident Evil Village, including extended gameplay footage that showcased the game's combat system, crafting and inventory management, and some new features like a merchant. As a direct sequel to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, in Village you will, again, play as Ethan Winters, but this time around, you will be looking for Ethan's missing daughter.

Aside from trailers, Capcom also revealed the release date for Resident Evil Village and different editions of the game that will be available at launch. Resident Evil Village will be available on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.
