While promoting Hobbs & Shaw, the latest entry in the Fast and Furious franchise, director David Leitch spoke with The Hollywood Reporter and provided an update on the upcoming movie adaptation of The Division."I'm excited about the material, and it is potentially next for us. We are currently in the script phase," said Leitch. "Then, it's about getting everybody's schedules to line up and making sure that we're ready to go with a script we're 100 percent behind. That process is accelerating quickly. I love that material, and I love the potential of working with those two incredible actors [Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain]. The creative team on that is Kelly McCormick as producer, myself, Jake and Jessica. We have a really core team that cares about the material and is going to work hard to make it great."In another interview with The Hollywood Reporter, actor Jake Gyllenhaal stated that he'd be up for training for the upcoming movie with Leitch's 87eleven studio which provdies stunt training. Additionally, it was announced that the movie adaptation of The Division will be headed to Netflix when it releases.

While there's no official release date for The Division, the movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain, with Rafe Judkins as the screenwriter, and director David Leitch.

As the wait for the movie adaptation continues, The Division 2 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Additionally, the game will come to Google Stadia when it launches this November.
