The Division Resurgence is a brand new entry from the series coming to mobile, inviting all Agents to return to New York City for a new adventure.

A few hours earlier, Ubisoft officially revealed The Division Resurgence, a mobile experience branching out from The Division universe, with the same core features and elements from the mainline AAA entries.

Featuring new factions and a standalone story, Resurgence will task you with bringing order back to the post-apocalyptic New York City, where different hostile factions threaten civilians.

While you will still work with the SHD team, the story has no ties to The Division 1 or its sequel. As confirmed by the development team, The Division Resurgence is still an RPG shooter, securing the iconic features of the first two entries. However, the developers have made some huge improvements to the controls of the game to make it easier to play on mobile.

Currently, there is no official release date for The Division Resurgence, but the registration for Closed Alpha is open to everyone at the moment for a limited time. The only thing you need to do is to visit this link and click on the "Register" button. The Closed Alpha will be available on both iOS and Android devices. The game will be launched as a free-to-play title.

During the registration, you will be asked a few questions about your mobile phone as well as the games you have already played on it. Unfortunately, Ubisoft has not revealed when we can get access to the Closed Alpha.

During the last few months, Ubisoft has shown more interest in mobile gaming. Earlier this year, the company revealed the mobile version of Rainbow Six Siege, which is still in development, but had a closed alpha session recently.

Aside from Resurgence, Ubisoft is also working on The Division Heartland, a free-to-play experience set in the same universe, which will be available on PC and consoles in the future.

Tom Clancy's XDefiant and Ghost Recon Frontline are two other free-to-play games that Ubisoft is working to deliver in the near future. None of them has an exact release window at the moment.
