When I tried The Elder Scrolls Online at Gamescom, I wasn't overly impressed by the game's visuals. As a matter of fact, I was slightly disappointed. Of course graphics aren't overly important, but one should be able to expect at least a bit of eyecandy from an AAA game released in 2014, and on next generation platforms.

Today ZeniMax Online Studios released a new trailer of the game showing the character creation feature, and boy, things changed. While the basic options remained the same, everything looks a whole lot better, with much improved textures and lighting.

I can easily say that the video showcases an exponential improvement in the way the game looks, and all those options are a Godsend for those that like personalizing their characters to extreme levels, so I have to give props to ZeniMax's character artists for a job well done.
