This week, Bethesda Softworks has announced that its MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online has reached over ten million players.

According to the press release, to celebrate this huge milestone, the developer will be hosting numerous events and promotions for the title. The biggest of these include a full Free Play Week for the title on Mac, PC, and PS4 (for console owners with an active PlayStation Plus Membership).

It’ll run from November 30th through December 6th, and during that time players will be able to participate in a large number of quests and dungeons offered in the full game. Unfortunately, the free play week will not include the Morrowind expansion that released earlier this year.

Here's a rundown of what free trial players will have access to:

  • A Massive Open World of Adventure: Access to the full The Elder Scrolls Online base game (not including ESO: Morrowind). Go wherever you want with whoever you want for hundreds of hours in the massive open world.
  • 500 Free Crowns: All new accounts receive 500 Crowns to spend in the Crown Store on unique pets, helpful XP scrolls, potions and more.
  • Progress Retention: Progress made from previous Free Play events are retained for those who choose to return. Any characters created, Crown Packs purchased, or Crown Store items bought, as well as any progress made during Free Play Week, will carry over for those who decide to purchase the full game.

Bethesda also confirmed that a special in-game dungeon event would also be available, offering players a chance to win in-game bonus awards, such as costumes for your character. To be considered for this, players will need to complete a random dungeon through the Dungeon Finder on Normal or Veteran difficulty; once that is achieved, they will acquire a Mysterious Reward Box filled with goodies inside.

Lastly, if you enjoyed your free trial of The Elder Scrolls Online and would like to play more, the game is currently available for 50% off on Mac, PC, and PlayStation 4 until December 6th, 2017.
