It was leaked earlier this week, and probably more than a few gamers saw it coming anyway. During its E3 press briefing Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The game comes out on October 28th, and brings back the latest The Elder Scrolls game in a shinier guise, unless you're a PC gamer, in which case your Skyrim probably already looks as shining as it can thanks to a million of mods.

That said, you never know, the new shaders that you can see below may very well benefit the PC version as well.

The good news is that following Fallout 4's example, mods will come to consoles even with this new remaster, even if there will certainly be more limitations compared to the PC version.

You can watch the trailer below (towards the end, because Bethesda couldn't be bothered to make a specific trailer for it, and bunched it with everything Bethesda Game Studios is doing).
