When did Eternals arrive on Earth in the movie?

In the comics, Eternals were created by the Celestials exactly one million years ago, but not everyone from the group stayed on the planet for that long. Things went complicated when the group was divided after a Civil War and then because of the change in the leadership.

However, don't fret because things won't be that much complicated in the movie.

In the Eternals movie, the humanoid group arrived on Earth 7000 years ago. Gemma Chan, who plays Sersi in the movie, confirmed that in an interview with Vanity Fair Italy.

A few centuries after their arrival, the group went into hiding and didn't interfere with anything. However, after the events of Avengers: Endgame, they have to come out to protect humanity against Deviants once again.

More Eternals

In the Marvel universe, Celestials are members of the first lifeform created in the universe. When Celestials arrived on Earth a million years ago, they performed genetic experiments on Archaic humans, which created two divergent races, the Eternals and their counterpart, Deviants.

For very long, Eternals protected the human race from Deviants while also progressing in technology. However, things didn't go smoothly when a civil war broke out between the group. While one group wanted to protect the other race, the other faction wanted to conquer.
