The Game Awards 2016 Nominations Announced

Since its debut in 2014, The Game Awards have sought to create an official home for honoring the best and biggest achievements in the world of video games for the past year, with the full list of nominees for this year’s upcoming ceremony having been announced.

In a livestream this morning, show creator and producer Geoff Keighley announced the full list of nominees for this year’s The Game Awards 2016 ahead of the ceremony’s broadcast in early December this year. The award ceremony will be airing on December 1st, 2016 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, CA starting at 8:30pm ET/5:30pm PT, with the event to be broadcast on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook Live, IGN, GameSpot, PSN, Xbox Live, and Steam – the event will also be broadcast for the first time in VR for those with VR headsets.

This year’s nominee list was topped by Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End with a total of eight nominations, while other titles followed closely behind such as Overwatch with six nominations, DOOM with five nominations and more of this year’s biggest titles.
